The recently Signed UK–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is expected to provide a significant boost to the Indian handmade carpet industry. The UK has traditionally been one of the key destinations for Indian handmade carpets, and the FTA is likely to enhance market access by reducing or eliminating existing customs duties and trade barriers. This will make Indian carpets more competitive in terms of pricing, helping exporters expand their footprint in the high-value UK market
